Entry Level Cnc Operator
**Job Title: CNC Operator** **This job is entry level CNC,** however some experienc **e** in manufacturing (at least 6 months) and experience with measuring tools. **Shift:** You will train on 1st shift. Upon completion of training you will work on 2nd shift. **Pay: $25-$36** **Job Description** As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines. Your role will involve loading machines with appropriate materials, inspecting products using measuring equipment, and recording results on inspection records. You will also perform in-process inspections, make offset adjustments, and troubleshoot minor issues that arise. This position requires accurate interpretation of blueprints and active participation in process improvement. **Responsibilities** + Load machines with appropriate material. + Inspect products using appropriate measuring equipment. + Record measurement results on inspection records. + Replace used tools as necessary. + Perform in-process inspections of Level I Operators. + Make offset adjustments up to .002. + Identify and change worn and broken tools efficiently. + Troubleshoot minor issues after tool changes and offset adjustments. + Provide detailed tie-in notes and address issues. + Operate all machines within their cell. + Set up many common jobs within their cell. + Load programs into machines and back them up to 'Machine Dump'. + Interpret blueprints accurately to make necessary adjustments. + Actively participate in process improvement. + Set up, maintain, and tear down work areas, equipment, and materials. + Organize materials, equipment, data, and workflow to ensure job requirements are met. + Operate, maintain, and store mechanical tools and equipment properly. + Report job status to the supervisor, including any malfunctions or obstacles to production. + Ensure the on-time completion of tasks and review work for quality and completeness. + Participate in activities that fulfill compliance requirements to ISO Quality Standards. + Demonstrate clear and effective communication, both verbal and written. + Prepare and submit accurate paperwork as required. + Adhere to all applicable environmental, safety, and health procedures. + Promote safe work practices and rectify job site hazards. + Read, understand, and interpret lockout/tag-out indicators. + Adhere to organizational policies and procedures. + Maintain acceptable attendance and work overtime as required. + Perform other related tasks as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other common inspection tools. + Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and geometry. + Basic computer skills. + Experience with CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and machining setup. + Experience in manufacturing with trade terminology and nomenclature. + Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment. + Thorough understanding and working knowledge of all phases of the job. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Swiss lathe experience is helpful. + Experience in a manufacturing environment. + Strong communication skills. **Why Work Here?** This is a 90-day business contract with the potential for a pay increase when hired directly. Employees work in proximity to moving machinery, mechanical parts, and vehicles and may be exposed to prolonged loud noise, including sirens and horns. Employees may handle hazardous materials or be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, biological hazards, and airborne fumes. The noise level is usually mild to moderate 75% of the time.
