Entry Level Controls Engineer
Job Description

Coordinate all aspects of the PLC Siemens control system to operate efficiently and effectively, adhering to predetermined standards and budgetary constraints. Undertake comprehensive training to understand the Electrical engineering requirements within PLC Siemens. Operate and maintain company support systems, ensuring they are properly used. Ensure plant and equipment are fully operational, meeting production requirements year-round. Provide support to manufacturing areas within budgetary and time constraints. Assist with planning, installation, and commissioning of equipment as needed, and monitor equipment performance. Ensure availability of essential spare parts by liaising with the engineering and stores managers. Assist with capital project planning and installation when requested. Coordinate all control system engineering aspects of Siemens, ensuring compliance with standards and legislation. Organize planning, maintenance, and modifications of control systems. Provide recommendations to improve plant efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

ResponsibilitiesCoordinate all aspects of the PLC Siemens control system.Undertake comprehensive training to understand Electrical engineering requirements within PLC Siemens.Operate and maintain company support systems.Ensure plant and equipment are fully operational and meet production requirements 365 days per year.Provide support to manufacturing areas while meeting budgetary requirements and agreed timescales.Assist with planning, installation, and commissioning of equipment.Monitor equipment performance.Ensure suitable availability of essential spare parts through liaison with the engineering manager and stores manager.Assist with capital project planning and installation when requested.Coordinate all control system engineering aspects of Siemens, ensuring compliance with standards and current legislation.Organize the planning, maintenance, and modifications of control systems.Provide recommendations to improve plant efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Essential SkillsAS or BS degree in electrical, controls, or mechatronics engineering preferred Work Environment
