Entry-Level Design Engineer Job Number: 351965 Category: -Engineering & Design SBU Description: An Entry-Level Design Engineer job is currently available at Belcan in Lexington, KY. This is a full time, direct job with full benefits. Great matching candidates will have work experience in an office setting and a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering degree. You will be performing quality related functions on turbomachinery equipment in support of a large aerospace OEM on an alternate work week schedule. Schedule: Job requires 36 hours Friday - Sunday (12 hours per day). Another 4 hours to be worked Monday - Thursday Job Duties: * -Disposition QNs (quality notifications) for manufactured jet engine components using reference material and engineering concepts. -Work as a team with Belcan engineers locally and at different sites to disposition priority QNs. -Support an alternate work week schedule of 36 hours Friday through Sunday, and 4 hours Monday through Thursday. -Support other turbomachinery design related tasks as required to balance workload with other teams also supporting our customer in different functions. Required Qualifications: * -Detail oriented, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations -Ability to recognize and solve typical problems and select solutions from established options -Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion -Knowledge of MS Office Suite -Bachelors of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering. -US citizenship required Preferred Qualifications & Skills: * -Knowledge and experience with turbomachinery. -Professional work experience in an Engineering related environment. Compensation: We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $60,000 to $65,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
