Today, our brands include EchoStar, Hughes, DISH TV, Sling TV, Boost Infinite, Boost Mobile, DISH Wireless, OnTech and GenMobile. **EchoStar** has an exciting opportunity for an Entry Level DSP Engineer in our **Hughes Network Systems division.** The position will be located at our headquarters in **Germantown, MD** . **Responsibilities** : + Design, simulate, implement, and test digital signal processing-based modems for satellite communications systems **Basic Requirements:** + Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering + Completed classes in digital communications theory (e.g. modulation, synchronization, FEC encoding) + Completed classes in digital signal processing theory (e.g. sampling, frequency estimation, filtering) **Preferred Qualifications:** + Master's degree in Electrical Engineering + An understanding of satellite communications systems and protocols (e.g. link budgets, TDMA, TDM, CDMA, SCPC, DVBS2) + Experience simulating and modeling communications and DSP algorithms using C++/C + Familiarity with MATLAB, System View, or similar tools + Knowledge and understanding of digital hardware, FPGA design, and UVM verification techniques Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance. \#LI- LT1 EchoStar is committed to offering a comprehensive and competitive benefits package.
