Job Description

Electrical Field Service Engineers conduct a broad range of inspection, engineering, and supervisory tasks in support of in-house testing, installation, start-up, and service/repair of industrial equipment.

ResponsibilitiesConduct inspections, engineering tasks, and supervisory activities for in-house testing, installation, start-up, and service/repair of industrial equipment.Work with motor-controlled hydraulic and pneumatic industrial machines.Troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.Communicate effectively to assist companies with the installation of new systems.Write project plans, test plans, and equipment manuals.Essential SkillsField Service Engineering experience with motor-controlled hydraulic and pneumatic industrial machines.Ability to troubleshoot PLCs.Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and blueprints.Strong communication skills.Experience in writing project plans, test plans, and equipment manuals.Additional Skills & QualificationsBS Degree in Engineering is preferred.Previous experience in the field with mechanical (hydraulic, pneumatic systems) and electrical (PLC, motor controls, sensors) systems.Willingness to travel extensively up to 70% both domestically and internationally.Work Environment

When not traveling, the candidate will work onsite with the Field Service team in an office setting. Travel can vary and may include international locations such as China, Japan, and India, where there may be language barriers and challenging industrial environments. In the US, travel will be to various customer locations, primarily foundries. All locations are safe. The role offers excellent training opportunities, benefits, and low attrition due to profit-sharing and bonus plans.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $33.65
