International is developing leading-edge commercial vehicle solutions to meet the needs of today’s and tomorrow’s customers.  At International’s Advanced Technical Center in Elmendorf, TX, and the International Proving Ground in New Carlisle, IN, the Product Validation department performs testing of International’s future diesel and electric trucks and school buses. 

 

The Electrical Systems and Components Test team within the Product Validation function performs validation specifically of the electrical and electronic systems of commercial trucks and school buses. 

 

In this area, International has need of an Electrical Test Engineer to prepare test procedures and execute electrical testing of vehicle electrical systems.  This testing will encompass system integration, computer software, serial communication, electronic components, power generation/distribution, and wiring.   The testing will be performed on International’s diesel vehicles, electric vehicles, and vehicles with autonomous driver assist systems. 

Responsibilities

The Electrical Test Engineer will provide technical and analytical support to Product Development Engineering to assess whether new vehicle design meet customers’ needs as stated through design requirements. 

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Prepare test procedures based on written requirementsPerform electrical validation testing and analysis of test dataProblem Solve to Troubleshoot root cause for failures of electric circuits or softwareWrite formal test reports Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science

OR

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science and will obtain degree prior to first day of employment Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
