Job Description
We are seeking entry-level SUE/Survey Technicians to join our growing team in Sanford, FL. This is an outdoor position requiring heavy lifting. The main responsibilities include performing labor tasks such as using hand tools, digging, setting up sites, cleaning up, and moving large hoses from VAC trucks. This long-term opportunity offers training in the technical aspects of Survey and Utility Locating.
ResponsibilitiesPerform heavy labor tasks including using hand tools, digging, setting up sites, operating vacuum trucks, and site clean-up.Conduct minor maintenance and troubleshooting of vacuum systems and vehicles.Clean and maintain vehicles, work sites, and equipment.Select and apply appropriate geophysical prospecting equipment to accurately designate non-complex underground utility layouts.Comprehend and interpret utility and highway design plans, atlases, and record drawings.Complete paperwork including record keeping and simple mathematics legibly and accurately.Perform related duties such as setting up maintenance of traffic as directed, making basic field measurements, and performing geophysical prospecting as instructed.Essential SkillsHigh school education or GED.Ability and willingness to perform heavy labor.Capability to work outside in extreme heat and weather conditions.Valid driver's license and ability to pass an MVR check.Willingness to travel, possibly extensively up to 5 days during the week.Availability to work overtime as needed.Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious utility locating or survey experience is a plus.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
