Entry Level Firearms Machine Operator
**Hiring a Firearms Machine Operator in Middletown, PA!** **Job Description** As a Machine Operator, you will produce machined parts by operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies. You will read basic blueprints/drawings and utilize basic measuring tools and hard gaging. Basic setup knowledge is helpful, but we are willing to train the right individuals. **Responsibilities** + Operate production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications, including lathes, grinders, mills, and similar equipment. + Produce the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances. + Measure finished parts with precision tools to ensure compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications. + Load and move materials to and from fabrication machines. + Position workpieces against stops or align layout marks with dye or blade. + Push buttons or depress pedals to activate machines. + Assist the Machinist in observing machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunctions. + Review, understand, and complete all required documentation that accompanies work assignments. + Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. + Maintain a clean, organized work environment through weekly and daily machine preventive maintenance as needed. + Perform assigned jobs efficiently, with minimal errors and high-quality workmanship. + Communicate defects, issues, and concerns with supervisors; seek guidance/instruction as needed. **Essential Skills** + Production experience + Experience with hand tools and power tools + Mechanical assembly experience + Machine operating experience + Attention to detail + Ability to read blueprints + Familiarity with safety standards **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Comfortable working around guns + Mechanically inclined + Experience in assembly, military, warehouse production, or machine operation + Military veterans are encouraged to apply + Gun collectors and enthusiasts are a plus **Why Work Here?** Employees receive discounts on products, and the company values and supports military veterans. The environment is gated and requires ID for entry. The assembly room is climate-controlled and can be loud at times, depending on production levels. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middletown, Pennsylvania. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $18.00/hr.
