Entry-level Highway/Roadway Engineer

GPI seeks an Entry-level Highway/Roadway Engineer to join our transportation team in the Tampa, Orlando, Maitland, or Tallahassee offices. As a successful candidate, you will be able to learn all aspects of highway engineering as experienced engineers guide you in developing projects from preliminary engineering to final design and Construction Inspection. Responsibilities:

Performing roadway design under the guidance of a Senior EngineerDetailing and drafting of construction plans using MicroStation or ORD / FDOTConnectExperience in the design of roadway geometrics, intersections, sidewalks/trails, pavement design, minor drainage, erosion and sedimentation control, and work zone traffic controlPreparation of Quantities, Cost Estimates and SpecificationsPerforming tasks according to the assigned schedule and budgetFamiliarity with Florida State/County/City design standards and development processesFlexibility concerning office or fieldwork

Qualifications:

BS in Civil Engineering (Transportation)Engineer-in-Training Certification preferred, with a desire to obtain PEO to 2 years of experience on Florida Roadway, Sidewalks or TrailKnowledge of MicroStation and ORD / FDOTConnectA Positive mindset and a good work ethic with a desire to learn and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
