Job Description
Test finished products for factors such as acid, salt, pH, and sulfites. Perform metal detection and inspect fill weights, drained weights, defects, and abnormal colors or flavors. Ensure coding is correct on packaging and cases, perform audits, and solve all issues related to product quality.
ResponsibilitiesConduct quality assurance/control paperwork.Comply with GMPs, safety and quality standards, food safety measures, OSHA, and other safety regulations.Test finished products for acid, salt, pH, and sulfites.Perform metal detection and inspect fill weights, drained weights, defects, and abnormal colors or flavors.Ensure coding is correct on packaging and cases.Perform audits and resolve all issues related to product quality.Essential SkillsDegree in the Sciences (Biology, Environmental Science, Agriculture, Food Science, Biochemistry, etc.).Strong attention to detail.Ability to uphold quality standards and hold manufacturing accountable to those standards.1+ years of experience in Quality.1+ years of GMP and FDA/USDA experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious Food Manufacturing or HACCP/Food Safety Experience is a plus.Work Environment
This is a lab-based position but requires collecting samples on the floor. Training will last 2-4 weeks
