Entry Level Machinist
**Entry Level Machinist** **Company Overview:** We are hiring for a manufacturer of structural parts for leading OEMs in the large business and regional jet markets. This company’s expertise spans various aircraft segments, including engine pylons, struts, wing boxes, wings, wheel wells, and interiors. **Shifts Available:** + 1 st Shift: Mon-Thur, 4:30pm - 3:00am + Weekend Shift: Fri-Sun, 4:30am - 5:30pm **Job Responsibilities:** + Operate NC machines and machining centers to fabricate aerospace parts. + Detect and report malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining. + Inspect first part runs thoroughly. + Meet job standard times with minimal supervision. + Recognize and report production problems. + Understand basic machine language (M-codes and G-codes). + Verify finished work pieces using standard measuring tools. + Read and interpret manufacturing drawings. + Perform miscellaneous duties as directed. + Follow all safety guidelines and procedures. **Key Skills and Experience:** + Positive attitude and punctuality. + Proficient with basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators). + Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. + Good verbal and written communication skills. + Mechanically inclined with good manual dexterity. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Strong math skills. + Basic proficiency with MS Windows-based systems. + One year of on-the-job experience. + Completion of an aptitude test during the interview process. + Vocational or college training in machine shop (Certificate of Completion in basic machining). **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
