Responsibilities: Create medical billing claims by translating healthcare services rendered into corresponding alphanumeric medical billing codes Submit claims for payment to clients and/or insurance companies Submit billing data to the appropriate insurance providers Work directly with patients to create payment plans Coordinate with insurance companies to resolve claims Record outstanding claims, and resolve denial instances Desired Skills: Interpersonal and oral communication skills Self-directed worker Ability to perform duties calmly and professionally Ability to complete tasks promptly Knowledge of basic medical terminology Knowledge of current medical billing/coding procedures, and current medical billing software desired, but not required. On-the-job training is available!
