Job Description
We are seeking a high caliber Software Verification Engineer to join our Software Verification team. This non-exempt position requires a motivated and passionate individual with testing expertise to contribute to our innovative and fast-paced verification processes. The Software Verification Engineer will be responsible for requirements analysis, test design, test execution, and defect issue resolution.
ResponsibilitiesPlan, write, and execute test cases independently and as a team member according to company practices, FDA regulatory, and ISO standard procedures.Design new test suites for new features and functionality.Perform dry runs and formal verification activities as required.Set up and configure test equipment.Record and close defects found during verification and validation activities.Perform requirements, design, and test reviews.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering.Knowledge of software testing and the software development lifecycle.Organized, on-time, quick learner, and detail-oriented.Excellent documentation skills for delivering information that adds value to management's decision-making process.Experienced in quantitative analysis, organizational, and follow-up skills.Strong written and oral communication skills.Ability to build relationships across various levels of an organization.Proactive thinker and self-starter with an energized attitude.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in the medical device industry is preferred.Experience with high-end workstations or software development.Familiarity with issue management systems and software revision control systems.Work Environment
The role involves configuring, installing, and deploying systems as well as testing them. You will be involved in creating and tracking issues for new products, ensuring that software and computer systems perform as intended. The position requires familiarity with both Windows and Linux operating systems and working with different computer components and documentation software like Word and Visio. This role is part of the Computer Systems group, focusing on software testing rather than development. You will follow written test procedures and help document those procedures and steps for others to follow. The work environment is high-tech and involves detailed documentation and communication.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00
