Job Title: Digital Accounting Specialist

ResponsibilitiesProcess a high volume of detailed data daily to ensure accurate information from partners.Reconcile partner settlement files to various data points or vendor statements.Review exceptions to determine root causes and resolve issues. Discuss significant errors with the immediate supervisor to determine proper actions.Conduct timely reviews and accurate assessments.Understand and execute within established departmental internal control processes and procedures.Maintain a high degree of understanding of the reconciliation process.Accurately assess how data points impact financial statements.Create accurate adjustments via Oracle or Trintech/ReconNET when necessary.Monitor changes in store status and take appropriate actions to keep data point reconciliations accurate.Provide review and resolution for various reconciliation circumstances.Familiarize with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to identify and discuss concerns with management.Identify missing information for data not processed before month-end and work with management to take action.Maintain files of journal entries and reports.Assist the team leader, team members, and management with special projects as needed.Provide timely and thorough responses to accounting help desk requests and follow up until resolution.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.Basic knowledge of accounting principles.Organized with the ability to multi-task.Effective mathematical, analytical, and reconciliation skills.Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Independent problem-solving and task management skills.Work Environment

Work in the office on Mondays and Wednesdays, with remote work the other three days. The role offers growth opportunities in accounting and industry-specific experience in retail.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
