**Entry-Level Substation Engineer** Location **Billings** Job Code **17362** \# of openings **1** Apply Now (https://phh.tbe.taleo.net/phh04/ats/careers/v2/applyRequisition?org=POWERENGINEERS&cws=44&rid=17362) **Entry-Level Substation Engineer** **Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities** POWER Engineers is seeking an Entry-Level Substation Engineer to work in its Power Delivery Substation Department in Billings, Montana. **Responsibilities** The ideal applicant will share responsibility with the rest of the department to produce a product consistent with POWER's mission statement and culture. They are expected to support the department in achieving the department's goals, maintain POWER's high-quality standards, promote internal teamwork and meet the needs of our clients. + Perform the detailed design of low to extra high voltage substations including, but not limited to: + One-line diagrams + Schematics + Wiring diagrams + SCADA + Communications + Station physical layouts + Sections/Elevations + Cable and conduit plans and details + Ground grid design and details + Foundation plans and details + Structural plans and details + Control enclosure design and details + Lightning protection plans + Yard lighting plans + Bills of Materials + Site visits + Support QA/QC for deliverables to clients + Shall learn, understand, and adhere to client standards and processes while working individually or within a team to complete complex and technically challenging designs + Occasional travel **Required Education/Experience** + A BSEE (BS Electrical Engineering), BSEET (BS Electrical Engineering Technology), BSME (BS Mechanical Engineering), or related engineering degree from an accredited university + Good understanding of engineering fundamentals and willingness to learn industry specific knowledge + The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel + Candidate must be willing and able to work effectively and efficiently in a remote work environment when required + Candidate must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship **Desired Education/Experience** + Preferably an Electrical Engineering degree with a power option from an accredited university + At least three months of relevant electrical engineering work experience; could be on an internship or co-op basis. + Minimum 2.5 Grade Point Average (GPA) + Knowledge of electrical utility substations and familiarity with substation design + Engineer In Training certificate (EIT) or passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam At POWER Engineers, you can have a rewarding career on every level.
