Job Title: Entry Level Substation Engineer
Job Description

An engineering consulting firm in Ann Arbor is looking to add an entry level electrical engineer to join their substation team. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and have experience with design software, with a preference for AutoCad Electrical or Microstation.

ResponsibilitiesPerform the detailed design of low to extra-high voltage substations including one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, station physical layouts, sections/elevations, cable and conduit plans and details, ground grid design and details, foundation plans and details, structural plans and details, control enclosure design and details, lightning protection plans, yard lighting plans, and bills of materials.Conduct site visits as necessary.Support QA/QC for deliverables to clients.Learn, understand, and adhere to client standards and processes while working individually or within a team to complete complex and technically challenging designs.Essential SkillsBachelor's of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.Experience in design software, preferably AutoCad Electrical or Microstation.Additional Skills & QualificationsUtility or substation or power-related classes or intern/co-op or related experience.Knowledge of SCADA.Experience with one-line diagrams.Work Environment

This role involves working in an engineering consulting environment, with responsibilities that may include site visits. The candidate will use design software such as AutoCad Electrical or Microstation to complete complex substation engineering tasks. The work environment is professional and technically challenging, providing opportunities to adhere to and learn from established client standards and processes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $38.00/hr.
