ABOUT THE POSITION
Come join our dynamic team of 20+ Water Resource professionals in Watertown, MA!
We’re looking for an Entry-Level Water Resources Engineer with 0-1 year of experience to work with our existing water resource group and support our work in the areas of stormwater management and design, hydrology and hydraulics analysis, culvert and bridge design, and resiliency efforts, among others. Our work supports public and private clients with resilient and sustainable solutions to their water resources challenges using innovative approaches.
Work would begin in the spring/summer 2025 and consist of a hybrid work setting.
Responsibilities
Work within a team of professionals in developing site civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude of environmental, land development, transportation, and water resources projects Conduct a wide array of water resources related studies and analysis including Hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of stormwater systems, riverine and coastal hydraulics, analysis and design of conveyance and treatment systems, and floodplain analysisAnalyze and design structural stormwater treatment measuresPrepare reports for stormwater and hydraulic analyses and designsConduct data collection and field workSkills and Attributes
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsHighly motivatedAbility to solve problems and think creativelyDetail-oriented and highly organizedAbility to think critically Team orientedStrong computer skills with AutoCAD and GIS experience desiredFamiliarity with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and analysis desiredQualifications
0-1 year of civil/environmental engineering experienceBS in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or related fieldAbility to perform fieldwork and travel to project sitesFE preferredWe are VHB!
