Reporting to the EHS manager at our Henning, IL manufacturing facility, local supplier of PAM non-stick cooking, you will implement an Environmental Management System (EMS) to meet the regulatory requirements of federal, state and local entities. You will advise the facility employees on compliance responsibilities, conduct training on priority items identified from internal audits and develop action plans to reduce risk exposures.

How Can You Affect our Business?

Ensures systems are in place to ensure the plant is operating in compliance with all applicable Federal, State and local regulations as well as Corporate Environmental Policies and Procedures.         

Serves as primary contact for facility on EMS implementation support activities. Provides communication and reporting of activities to facility leadership.

Supports the Sustainable Development efforts of the facility including but not limited to waste reduction programs, water conservation programs, etc.   

Provides expertise to facilitate sharing of good practices and procedures on compliance, water use, energy use, waste minimization, and wastewater treatment.     

Leads and/or participate in Environmental assessment of facility.

Do You Have what it Takes?

Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Environmental, Engineering, Biology or Chemistry).

2 to 4 years of experience in organizing, planning, and executing projects along with managing applications

Good knowledge of all environmental regulations and their impact on the food industry

Good presentation skills including excellent written and oral communication skills

Physical Requirements 

While performing the responsibilities of this job, you are required to stand or sit for extended periods of time. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. You will be exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot too cold in temperature.
