Description:Interprets, recommends, and complies with ESH regulations and/or company policies, and provides ESH support and directions on new and maturing company contracts and programs.
Responsible for compliance with hazardous waste laws and regulations for numerous facility locations in California and Utah.
• Review and interpret hazardous waste laws and regulations to determine applicability/impact to operations.
• Support 8 hourly HazMat/Wastewater personnel.
• Respond and support chemical spills to help determine appropriate clean up and reporting obligations.
• Interface with regulatory agency personnel to address compliance concerns.
• Lead regulators on facility inspections.
• Compile data for regulatory reporting and company/corporate metric submittals.
• Prepares permits, regulatory reports, policies, and procedures as necessary to meet compliance requirements.
Review new processes and operations for environmental impacts.
• Collect samples and review analytical data for hazardous waste determinations/profiles.
• Profile hazardous wastes for off-site shipment.
• Ensure hazardous waste shipments are properly described on the Hazardous Waste Manifest.
Assists in planning for changes in physical facilities, reviewing new or modified equipment and new aerospace manufacturing programs to meet ESH requirements.
Represents the organization in providing solutions to technical ESH issues. Interacts with senior leadership and regulatory agencies.
Knowledge of environmental management system elements, risk assessment, controls, etc. such as ISO 14001.
Occasional travel and off-shift/weekend emergency coverage/response required. This is not a remote position as it requires on-site level support.

Basic Qualifications:
Ten years of professional experience, or a college degree and 5 years experience, or 3 years professional experience with a related Masters degree.
Desired Skills:
The candidate is considered an authority in multiple environmental and safety compliance program disciplines and knowledgeable in regulatory requirements.
Strong written and verbal skills. Self-starter, generally, works independently with minimal guidance.
Has experience resolving problems, leading projects, and teams. Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, and practicable.
Experience working in a represented workforce environment, and with Department of Defense customers, a plus.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $77,700 - $136,965. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
