Your Role: 

• Responsible person for EHS management for Merck Manila Hub office providing primary support for BCM.
• Provide EHS oversight and regular support to a local site operation.
• Implement and report on compliance with Merck Group policies and local standards for The Philippines.
• Undertake completion of local risk assessments as required (with Facilities Management).
• Undertake incident reporting as required.
• Liaise with all stakeholders on local Health, Safety, Security and Environment implementation as required.
• Develop and deliver training to local teams as required.
• Support Merck Manila Hub Mgt & local operations managers with EHS and BCM related matters.
• Be the designated safety competent person (Site Security Officer) for the Philippines and manage consultants and service providers for EHS and BCP activities.
• Lead and coordinate the activities and programs for the local Emergency Response Teams (ERT) i.e., Fire & Earthquake drills, evacuation among others.

Who You Are:

• Pollution Control Officer Certification
• Safety Officer 3 Certifications - Basic Occupational Safety & Health (BOSH) and Loss Control Management (LCM).
• At least 3 -5 years of experience in EHS.
• Knowledgeable in PEZA building compliance.
• Knowledgeable in environmental law (DENR) compliance.
• Knowledgeable in DOLE occupational safety and health standard and reporting
