If you’re an Environment Health Safety Coordinator (EHS), we have an exciting opportunity for you. The Environment, Health, and Safety Coordinator, with direction from the site EHS Manager, will coordinate and maintain elements of a safety program and/or environmental processing, monitoring, remediation equipment, and also interface with outside vendors. The EHS Coordinator will perform routine inspection and maintain confidential and proprietary data related to member compliance, GenSuite reporting, illness/injury reports, as well as proper documentation necessary for corrective actions.What You Will Be Doing Coordinate and conducts periodic inspections as required by environmental permits and health and safety regulations.Coordinates the maintenance and compliance of paint booth filtration system, including equipment compliance logging, verification, troubleshooting, sampling, calculations of emissions, etc.Coordinates and performs storm water, industrial water, and waste sampling to meet legal requirements, including sampling for storm water runoff, sampling of industrial wastewater discharge and new or current waste streams.Maintains electronic records including the use of Gensuite Applications- Incident Management, Sustainability Reporting, Waste Tracker, etc.What We Are Looking For US – High School Diploma or equivalent required.2-5 years 2-5 years’ experience managing hazardous waste and preparing DOT or equivalent shipping papers required.Licenses/certifications: US Department of Transportation Hazmat Employee Training Certification or equivalent required. Hazardous waste management training (e.g., 40-hour HAZWOPER training) or specific regional hazardous waste management certifications. Forklift Training. RCRA, and Universal Waste Training, etc. preferred. 5% travel requirement.The ability to perform simple arithmetic computations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division correctly, using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.The ability to accurately provide the information requested on specific forms, reports, and logs. This includes generating or transcribing appropriate words, numbers, or symbols to complete written or computerized forms, reports, or logs.This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. Persons within the meaning of the ITAR and EAR, or eligible to obtain all required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce.
