Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital in Rhinelander, WI is seeking an Environment of Care & Emergency Management Projects Administrator to join our team!
The Environment of Care and Emergency Management Projects Administrator will manage, plan, facilitate and advise hospital leadership across the Region on issues relating to Environment of Care and Emergency Management. In addition, this position will be directly responsible for adherence and compliance of all EM and EC chapter compliance for Joint Commission and CMS. This position will actively lead in all regional EOC/EM related meetings at the business unit and system-level. This position will also serve as the subject matter expert and support a standardized system workplace violence program. Ensures policy, procedures and plans are in compliance with all regulatory agencies including, but not limited to: The Joint Commission, OSHA, EPA, DNR, AAAHC, ADA, CAP, CDC, CMS, FDA, and NFPA. Provides subject matter expert services regarding hazard response and emergency preparedness to other Aspirus subsidiaries as needed. This position will also support local and state fire, emergency response and management authorities.
This position will develop, implement, and monitor compliance and emergency preparedness programs. This position will support the development and execution of a standardized system EM/EC program across Aspirus and will coordinate and evaluate emergency management drills and tabletops.
HOURS: Full Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every 2 weeks. Day shift
Experience/Qualifications
Knowledge of patient care standards and management practices in a healthcare environment normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field desired.National Incident Management Services (NIMS) Independent Training – Courses ISC 100, 200, 700National Incident Management Services (NIMS) Independent Training – Courses ISC 800 to be completed within 60 days of hire.Homeland Security Exercise Evaluation Program (HSEEP) certified, must be completed within 1 year of hire.Environment of Care Base Camp and Exploring the Life Safety Chapter must be completed within 1 year of hire.Attendance of FEMA Hospital Emergency Response Team (HERT) for Mass Casualty Incidents Training or other form of Hospital Decontamination training, if not completed, must be completed within 9 months of hire.Minimum of five years’ progressively responsible experience in a related field required.Two years of leadership experience in related field preferable.Experience leading multisite and/or system level programs in healthcare or related field.Healthcare experience required.Safety experience and/or interest in a health care setting and/or environmental issues.Knowledge of TJC, NFPA, WI DPH, EPA, WI DNR and other health care related standards and codes.OSHA compliance training related to healthcarePossesses excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritize, the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, accuracy and timeliness in all work products, and related work experience to develop and enhance skills.Possess excellent critical thinking skills to comprehend issues that may arise and find appropriate resolution.Computer literacy required in Microsoft Office and relative to other software programs utilized by Aspirus Health, as well as department specific program requirements.Possesses problem-solving skills.Possesses excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Demonstrates organization and the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.Possesses effective decision-making skills, as well as good verbal and written communication skills.Familiar with electronic Incident Command System (eICS) or similar incident command software.A valid Wisconsin driver’s license is required.Annual competencies as required by Aspirus and/or various regulatory agencies based on entity and/or job position.Employee Benefits
