Manages and directs site in achieving Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) targets & objectives. Create and submit required documents to OSHA and DEP. Develop, implement and improve Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs and processes including emergency preparedness and fire protection, safety risk assessments and safe working procedures for non-office activities, hazardous waste management, training, ergonomics, contractor safety, and crisis management. Provide status updates and recommendations to senior management on program and policy development for health, safety and environmental compliance programs.  Monitor & inspect employees for compliance with PPE and other regulations  Analyze spend and monitor budgets to identify cost savings opportunities.  Stay informed of industry best practices providing input and leadership in development and roll-out of companywide policies and procedures.  The position may also be responsible for treating minor injuries, managing worker’s compensation claims.  Identifies and evaluates hazardous conditions and practices and develop hazard control practices and programs.  Leads site safety committee and initiatives.  This role may require off-shift and weekend work  This role may require some travel (less than 5%)  Other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements:   3-7 years of experience with an emphasis in health and safety management or experience in a technical environment requiring adherence to strong health and safety practices Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Safety, Environmental Sciences/Engineering, Occupational Safety, Engineering or related degree preferred.  Professional certification desired (Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Auditor)  Safety-related professional certifications desired.  Familiarity with business continuity standards and practices  Effective coaching, facilitation, and presentation skills ​​​​​​ Desired Qualities:   Collaborator - able to work with other members of the processing team  Adaptive - adjusts to changing priorities and conditions  Motivated - self-starter with the ability to work in a team and independently to achieve team objectives  Safety conscious - abide by all safety measures put in place at Innovation Foods  Customer focused- understands the need for the highest standard of food quality in production Innovation Foods is an Equal Opportunity Employer - Underrepresented Ethnic Minority Groups/Women/Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity and other protected classes.
