Your Role:

Sets up and implements policies & procedures in Environment, Health and Safety. Leads and manages EHS Committee and Emergency Response Team. Ensures implementation of Crisis Management Policy and procedures. Ensures the promotion of ESH awareness to employees and contractors/ subcontractors and their compliance. Manages the proper storage, handling and disposal of wastes generated in the factory in line with the regulatory standards. Monitors and analyzes accident/ incident records including environmental records and provide recommendation for improvement.  Report to Central Safety & Asia operations safety the status of EssilorLuxottica’s internal audits & other EHS indicators and updates. Coordinates with relevant departments the timely closure of corrective & preventive actions/ completion of EHS projects to meet external audit requirements. Liaises with relevant statutory bodies and authorities. Reviews and provides recommendations for improvements on projects/ re-layouts, new products and new processes in conformance to EHS requirements. Sets the performance objectives for the team. Launches for action plans and monitors progress accordingly. Closes gaps, if any.  Ensures on-time Preventive Maintenance of Fire protection system and other safety devices. Maintains security control of the company. Communicates/cascade necessary global information to staff.  Strictly implements EHS rules and actively participate in related audits. Promote and ensure compliance of Optodev's core values and EssilorLuxottica’s culture.

 

 

A Portrait of a Perfect Candidate

 

Licensed Chemical Engineer Government accredited in the practice of Safety or with equivalent training experience as required by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). More than 5 years experience as Safety practitioner in Chemicals, Electronics or Pharmaceutical Industry. With hands-on experience in Hazard Identification/ Risk Assessment and Accident/Incident Investigation In-depth knowledge on Philippine ESH laws and in the Integrated Management System IMS)
