We are looking for Environmental, Health and Safety Manager (EHS Manager) to lead this function for Siemens Mobility Australia and New Zealand.

In this role, you will:
Define function-related standards, guidelines, processes, and procedures for cross-functional EHS topics. Implement superior and cross-functional EHS standards, principles, and guidelines. Propose function or unit-related budgets, and decide on targets, budget, and resource allocation within given limits. Manage assigned organizational units, leading and coordinating dedicated management and staff. Ensure that EHS-related requirements and responsibilities are effectively assigned and communicated to line managers and employees throughout the organization. Issue country-specific EHS-related targets, objectives, policies and strategies ensure compliance with local legal requirements and the EHS Policy Framework. Be part of the bid and tendering process providing timely responses to the bid team. Support the implementation of Siemens-wide initiatives and programs and ensure proper documentation of formally delegated or assigned EHS function roles and responsibilities. Monitor an effective rail project delivery model providing capable assurance and verification of EHS requirements. Oversee delivery of the business EHS audit and ISO certification schedule. Monitor the implementation of EHS requirements and plans, ensuring the EHS program of workplace inspections, audits and assurance activities are executed. Provide governance and support to our manufacturing, maintenance and project site management. Lead and confer with relevant regulatory bodies. Investigate and analyze incidents, report results, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Manage the business return to work and worker compensation requirements ensuring industry rating and effective cost management.Your qualifications and skills to create a better tomorrow.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in management in EHS, in high-risk construction environment preferably within the rail industry. Knowledge in applying rail industry worker and rail safety principles would be highly regarded. Strong leadership and people management skills, with a process-oriented approach. Proven ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in developing and implementing EHS management systems, policies, and procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Proven ability to develop and manage budgets including oversight of workers Insurance portfolio. Proven experience in accreditation processes (ISO, RSO, TAO….) Strong presentation skills with experience presenting to senior leadership. Certification with the Australian Institute of Health and Safety, or relevant certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) would also be considered advantageous.Why you’ll love working for Siemens Mobility.
