Environmental and Air Permitting Engineer

Summary: Seeking an Environmental and Air Permitting Engineer with expertise in environmental compliance and air permitting under the Clean Air Act.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering

Minimum of 5 years consulting experience in environmental compliance

Proficiency in formulating permit applications for various regulatory requirements

Competence in performing air emission calculations using methods such as mass-balance, engineering judgment, and AP-42 emission factors

Knowledge of federal, state, and local air regulations, particularly the Clean Air Act

Preferred Skills:

Experience in industry as well as consulting

Ability to undertake air-dispersion modeling for industrial processes

Familiarity with Access or other databases

Job Responsibilities:

Complete permit applications required under the Clean Air Act

Support industrial clients in demonstrating effective and economical compliance with environmental regulations

Communicate with regulatory agencies to advocate for client interests

Craft comprehensive environmental plans and reports (e.g., SARA Tier II/TRI, SWPPP, SPCC plans)

Manage and support multiple concurrent projects efficiently



Pay Details: $110,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
