The Opportunity
We are looking for a candidate that is interested in joining our specialist team and developing their skills in the areas of environmental and building physics, and Computational Fluid Dynamics. Our team works on multidisciplinary design projects and advances technical expertise to support innovative design solutions for the built environment.

As a Graduate Environmental and Building Physics/CFD Specialist at Arup, you will:
Conduct studies to identify the impact of different climate conditions on microclimate, pedestrian wind comfort and air quality.
Perform building physics analyses to determine critical environmental conditions and improve the design of passive and active conditioning systems.
Undertake climate investigations to understand the risk posed by natural hazards and the physical threat of climate change.
Collaborate with other structural engineers, civil engineers, mechanical engineers, and risk consultants on innovative buildings and infrastructure projects.
Work closely with our in-house technical and digital specialists to find unique solutions for our clients’ challenges
Attend design team meetings and present design outcomes.
Does this role inspire you?
We're looking for graduates who are currently pursuing a Master’s or higher Degree in Civil, Environmental, Structural, Mechanical, Building Engineering, or other related disciplines.
We also value:
Fundamental knowledge of fluid dynamics, building physics, energy modelling and/or environmental physics. Basic coding, scripting and / or digital awareness skills. Interest in the built environment. Experience in computational fluid dynamics Familiarity with Python or other programming languages. Experience or familiarity with the built environment, i.e. buildings, transportation infrastructure, and other civil infrastructure through research.Why Arup?
