This role will support various projects in various locations throughout the US.

 

This role will consult with the project management teams to ensure overall client satisfaction. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Permit Specialist to join our team. The Environmental and Construction Permitting Specialist needs to have a strong understanding of environmental regulations and permitting processes. 

 

Responsibilities: 

Monitoring applications for necessary environmental permits, including air, water, and waste permits.Conduct thorough research and analysis to determine applicable regulations and permit requirements.Monitor and track the status of permit applications and renewals.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all permits and regulatory documents.Stay informed of current environmental regulations and industry best practices.Conduct regular compliance audits and inspections to identify potential non-compliance issues.Assist with and review compliance plans to address identified issues.Provide guidance and training to staff on environmental regulations and compliance procedures.Provide technical support to project teams on environmental permitting and compliance matters.Assist in the development of environmental impact assessments and environmental management plans.Conduct environmental site assessments and due diligence reviews.Prepare technical reports and presentations on environmental issues. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.Must have the field experience to monitor permit compliance activities.5+ years of experience in environmental permitting and compliance.Strong understanding of federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and RCRA.Knowledge of environmental impact assessment and risk assessment methodologies.Ability to work independently, think creatively and analytically, and make quick and sound decisions.Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills.Must have excellent attention to detail.Expert user of Microsoft Office, Oracle Primavera P6 project management software, and Earned Value Management system.Willingness to accept long-term field assignments.
