**Shift:** M-F | Day Shift
**Pay:** $61,500 - $77,000
**A Direct Hire Opportunity**
**Overview:**
The role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental and safety processes to ensure workplace safety and compliance with health regulations. Key responsibilities include delivering training, managing waste and recycling programs, assessing hazards, enforcing safety practices, and participating in incident investigations. This position requires a proactive approach and collaboration with various teams.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Develop and track safety and environmental training programs
+ Manage waste and recycling for environmental compliance
+ Conduct safety and environmental training
+ Maintain documentation for compliance and reference
+ Identify and implement safety improvements
+ Communicate safety information and ensure proper use of safety gear
+ Participate in incident investigations and emergency preparedness
+ Ensure compliance with health and safety standards through inspections
+ Promote employee involvement in safety and environmental initiatives
+ Manage safety and environmental equipment inventory
+ Conduct daily inspections and address issues promptly
+ Assist with environmental compliance and documentation
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, or related field
+ Certifications (ISO 45001 Auditor, OSHA 30, RCRA training, DOT certification) preferred
+ 1-3 years of industrial safety and/or environmental compliance experience
+ Experience with safety training, incident investigations, and hazardous waste management
+ Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
+ Physical ability to lift 40 pounds, climb ladders, and respond to emergencies
**Special Skills:**
+ Advanced written & verbal communication
+ Knowledge of federal, state, and local health, safety, and environmental regulations
+ Experience with 6s implementation measures
+ Strong attention to detail and time management skills
