Siemens Industry Inc. is seeking an Environmental Compliance Manager to support Siemens’ Smart Infrastructure Electrical Products Business in North America (SI EP NA).
The Environmental Compliance Manager is responsible for internal and external environmental reporting across SI EP NA and will have a direct impact on achievement of Siemens’ environmental goals.
This role will work closely with Siemens’ corporate and factory teams to identify and understand environmental compliance obligations across SI EP US sites.
Candidates must possess an excellent working knowledge of US Federal Environmental Laws as well as state environmental regulations (CA, GA, MA, OK, SC and TX), and must have direct experience filing Toxic Release Inventory reports, Tier II reports and hazardous waste reporting.
The ideal candidate must have the ability/ skills to effectively communicate at all levels of a diverse global organization.
The Environmental Compliance Manager will serve as a strategic resource to the SI EP NA to achieve Siemens’ environmental goals and objectives.
You will make impact with the following responsibilities:
Collaborate with site teams to understand environmentally relevant operations, programs and reporting obligations, for example stormwater, wastewater, hazardous waste, universal waste and air emissions programs. Identify and implement centralized environmental data collection system to support streamlined compliance reporting for manufacturing sites. Coordinate and communicate effectively with corporate resources and site teams related to new/emerging environmental programs, regulatory obligations and corresponding reporting as necessary. Lead efforts to ensure site environmental compliance programs remain current – including ISO 14001 EMS documentation. Position will also support both internal and external ISO 14001 audits. Develop EP NA US site environmental compliance reporting dashboard with KPIs and metrics to track environmental compliance deliverables and on-time reporting. Serve as business unit’s central internal and external contact for US environmental regulatory programs and reporting. Serve as environmental compliance subject matter expert as it relates to construction and/or process projects that may require input relevant to environmental permitting, reporting, notification, etc. Must possess and maintain excellent working knowledge of environmental regulatory reporting laws, including EPCRA (Tier II and TRI), TSCA, RCRA, NPDES, DOT, etc. Tracking environmental related Federal, State, and Local environmental regulatory changes known to or that may impact operations.You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, environmental science or related technical degree. 10 plus years’ experience as environmental compliance professional responsible for data collection, preparation and submission of Toxic Release Inventory (TRI), Tier II and RCRA reports. Project management and organizational skills to assess and mitigate project related environmental compliance risks. Ability to analyze data, recognize business impact and communicate trends. Familiar with ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System and corresponding requirements as it relates to environmental compliance. Experience with Data Analytics and Visualization Software a plus (Tableau, Power BI). Proficient in use of MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams. Must have excellent verbal and written skills. Must be eligible to work in the US without no sponsorship now or in the future.Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree preferred. Preferred Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Individual must be self-directed with the ability to work with limited supervision. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams relative to environmental projects/initiatives to drive environmental performance improvement. Critical thinking and excellent problem-solving skills to analyze complex issues and devise innovative solutions.Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.
