Compensation: $50-55/hourLocations: Carlsbad, NMAssignment Duration: 12 months +Work Schedule: 9/80
Comprehensive benefits with 401(k), Holidays and PTOSome travel will be required Responsibilities Knowledge and experience of NMOCD, SLO, and BLM requirements for Asset Retirement Obligations and Reclamation RequirementsAbility to draft and review Reclamation Plans, execute required actions, and coordinate with field crews to ensure site conditions are completedEffectively manage contractors to ensure compliance requirements are met safely while meeting appropriate documentation and financial goalsGeneral knowledge of oil & gas facility design, excavation, trucking, disposal, and reseeding practices in New MexicoManage multiple projects concurrently and adjust quickly to changes in prioritiesAbility to interact and communicate with all levels of the organization, regulatory bodies, contractors, and landownersStrong ability to read, comprehend, interpret, and consistently apply applicable rules and regulations as outlined by governing bodies such as the RRC, TCEQ, NMED, NMOCD, EPA and NRCWell–developed verbal and written communication skills, problem analysis skills, and technical translation skillsRole will require office time and regular field visits for sites in New Mexico and Texas

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related fieldWork experience in environmental consulting or environmental construction, especially with heavy machinery or technical writingMinimum 5 years of experience in environmental consulting or compliance workMust be an environmental professional skilled in field operations, project management, and/or technical writingExperience with end-of-life construction projectsStrong field experience.  Expertise in environmental practicesFamiliarity with Plugging and Abandonment RequirementsCapable of supervising contractors and ensuring operations follow design plansExperience in managing multiple projects simultaneouslyRegulatory compliance knowledgeBackground in environmental consulting in New Mexico preferred
