YOU’LL GET TO:Investigate sites and collect dataDesign stream restorationsDesign dam projects and perform safety inspectionsAnalyze sediment transportInvestigate water resourcesPerform hydrology and hydraulics (H&H) and flood modellingDesign stormwater managementApply resilience principalsProcess wetland and waterway permitsAssess and restore watershedsPrepare and manage grant applicationsMentor junior staff and network with clientsYOU TELL US…What water resource concern do you want to solve?
REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related degree.Professional Engineer (PE) registrationEngineers preferred. Will also considered allied professional (Environmental Science, Biology, Geomorphology, Hydrology, Landscape Architecture, Ecology, equivalent work experience, etc.)Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WANT:5 to 10 years of experienceProject management skills in water resource design from concept through construction including preparing proposals, invoicing, project milestones, and achieving deadlinesCompetence in client relationship and meeting facilitationTeam leading directing and mentoring junior staffStream and wetland restoration, dam design and the permitting and approval processConditional Letter of Map Revision (CLOMR), Letter of Map Revision (LOMR)Experience in preparing and processing designs and permits using PennDOT and/ or Philadelphia Water Department (PWD) standards Proficiency in use of software for hydrology, hydraulics (HEC-RAS 1D & 2D, HydroCad), SWMM, drafting (Civil 3D, Carlson, MicroStation)Strong writing and verbal communication skillsProfessional Engineer (P.E.). Will also considered certified allied professional with stormwater and/or stream design experience.Willingness and ability to occasionally travel and work as needed to meet schedule
