Environmental Engineer
As part of a diversely skilled local and national team, creates engineering designs of basic to high complexity to meet client project requirements for water and wastewater treatment facilities, water and sewer systems, pipelines, pump stations, remediation sites, solid waste facilities.

Design, field and other technical work will be focused on projects in the local area but may also include providing engineering support nationally to a broad portfolio of projects.

Tasks performed include reviewing draft designs and reports for compliance with federal, state and local regulations and signs off on completed designs, ensuring that firm policies and practices are followed on all designs.

Performs site reviews and studies, as needed, to ensure designs are aligned with location specifications and client requirements, updating design requirements as necessary. Performs water quality analyses and modeling.

Contributes to firm's Technical Knowledge Management
by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs, studies, etc. Submits technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals and participates in conferences and other relevant professional associations and events to improve the visibility of the firm's products and services.

Collaborates with sales staff to create proposals in response to current and potential client requests for proposal (RFPs), reviews draft proposals for adherence to firm, industry, state, local and federal regulations and best practices. Works closely with sales staff to meet with current and potential future clients to review their current and future design needs.

Provides technical guidance and training to more junior staff, mentoring staff and developing them for future growth within the discipline and firm. May supervise the work of junior engineers on project work.

Performs other duties and tasks as required.
