Environmental Engineer
Job Title:Environmental Engineer Job Description We are looking for an entry-level engineer for our Overland Park, Kansas office who wants to grow in a fast-paced, team-first environment. This role involves environmental consulting and aims to make a positive impact on the environment. You will work on a variety of projects, from environmental assessment/monitoring to engineering/design support for solid waste and industrial wastewater projects. Assignments will be conducted both in an office setting and in the field. Key responsibilities include: + Recording data during fieldwork, including soil characteristics, lithology, groundwater or surface water data, photographs, and visual observations. + Preparing environmental assessment/monitoring reports, including data tabulation, charts, graphs, sketches, and figures. + Collecting samples from hazardous and non-hazardous sites, including soil, air, surface water, groundwater, and landfill gas. + Overseeing drilling activities, monitoring well installation, borehole logging, well development, and sampling. + Conducting and documenting construction quality assurance observations to ensure compliance with construction documents. + Completing quality control reviews on all work products prior to submission. + Coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and clients. + Coordinating with CAD drafters or using AutoCAD for design plans and figures. + Preparing various reports including Phase I environmental site assessments, emission, groundwater, and compliance reporting. + Preparing permit applications and regulatory agency submittals with supporting documentation. + Preparing calculations for reports and design documents. + Assisting in training Environmental Field Technicians and Technical Associates. + Preparing short-form site-specific health and safety plans. + Participating in health and safety training. + Working on-site investigations, sampling, testing, quality assurance, monitoring, reporting, documentation, and field coordination. + Performing office tasks such as report writing and coordination with design teams. Skills & Qualifications: + Bachelor's or Master's in Environmental or Civil Engineering + EIT certification preferred + Comfortable using AutoCAD + 0 - 2+ years of environmental remediation project experience Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Overland Park, Kansas.
