ResponsibilitiesPerform civil engineering design assignments of varying complexity.Participate in a team environment on projects with multi-faceted civil engineering work.Perform solid waste engineering design and permitting for landfills, transfer stations, and recycling facilities.Establish design direction, develop technical drawings and specifications for commercial, industrial, and environmental construction projects.Participate in quality control throughout the course of a project.Prepare engineering analyses, feasibility studies, reports, and permit applications.Perform on-site field work, including construction quality assurance, surveying, and sampling.Meet cost and time schedules while producing quality results.Represent clients' interests and projects to governmental and private entities.Act as a positive representative of the company and embody its core values.Assist in business development.Essential SkillsExpertise in civil/environmental engineering for commercial, industrial, and environmental construction projects.Experience in designing and permitting landfills, transfer stations, and recycling facilities.Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil3D.Experience with onsite environmental field work, quality assurance, surveying, and sampling.Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil, Environmental, or Geological Engineering.1-5 years of relevant civil, environmental, or solid waste engineering work experience.Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.1-3 years of experience in AutoCAD/Civil 3D.Strong written, oral, and graphic presentation skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsEIT or PE certification preferred but not required.Experience working on a variety of project types and complexity.Ability to work on concurrent projects and collaborate with multiple design disciplines.Ability to travel to job sites and safely traverse construction and project sites (20% travel).Willingness to undertake overnight travel as required.Work Environment
This individual will split time between the office and onsite on various construction and industrial projects. The office hours are Monday - Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.
