Environmental Engineer
Job Title: Environmental Engineer

Job Description

Evaluate client compliance with Federal, State, and local regulatory agency laws and regulations, providing compliance evaluations and remediation recommendations. Utilize and manage our proprietary compliance tracking software to help our clients stay in compliance. Evaluate fuel oil tank compliance with US Environmental Protection Agency, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC), county agencies, and New York City Department of Buildings regulations. Prepare Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) plans and conduct SPCC training. Conduct NYSDEC Department of Environmental Remediation (DER)-40 training for petroleum tank operators. Analyze potential environmental and safety issues through quarterly fuel tank audits, providing clear findings and recommendations regarding resolution. Liaise with subcontractors, relaying requirements, assuring quality work, escalating issues, and enabling timely project completion. Conduct research projects, write documentation, and prepare responses to requests for quotation (RFQ) and requests for proposal (RFP).

Work hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with an hour for lunch. The position involves working in the office located in White Plains or at various job site locations. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $31.25/hr.
