Role description:

Arcadis is looking for an Environmental Field Specialist with an engineering or geology background, who will be working between different clients’ sites throughout Italy and will have to supervise the activities carried out by suppliers for environmental investigation in contaminated sites.

Furthermore, the ideal candidate will also be a point of reference for project managers, working together in our offices, for the organisation of environmental activities and in the drafting of environmental documents such as characterisation plans, investigation reports, groundwater monitoring plans etc.

They will have previous experience in the environmental field (investigation and remediation activities), dealing with contractors and clients, in arranging environmental field acitivities and in drafting reports required by the environmental law and/or the Clients.

 

Role accountabilities:

Presence on sites to follow investigation and remediation projects; Strong ability to interface with companies working on contaminated sites; Draft environmental reports required by the law and/or by the Client; Support the project manager in arranging field activities.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

Around 2-5 years of working experience in supervision of activities in investigation/remediation site, arranging environmental field activities and drafting environmental law reports A BSc or MSc degree in Geology/Environmental Engineering or equivalent Knowledge of most important Italian environmental laws (ex: D.Lgs. n° 152/06) Strong ability to deal with and maintain good relationships with the Client  Strong oral and written communication skills Good IT skills (Microsoft Office Suite is a must)  Good English knowledge Availability to travel up to 60-80% of the time.
