Your Role:

We are seeking a motivated Mid-Level Geologist to assist in growing Tetra Tech’s Texas environmental business.  Candidate must be highly motivated and work well in a professional and team-oriented environment.  Candidate must also have the ability to manage a heavy workload, travel as needed, possess excellent communication and organizational skills.  Proficiency with MS Office applications is a requirement.

Tetra Tech is seeking a Mid-Level Geologist to join our Houston, Texas team to provide support on various environmental projects throughout Texas.  This position will support a variety of environmental contracts, including commercial and local government.  Duties will include:

The creation of reports for various types of investigations, including environmental site assessments and remediation projects. Manage project tasks and financials and lead junior staff during projects. The preparation of charts, boring logs, and cross-sections depicting subsurface conditions. Develop proposals including scope of work and budgetary estimates. Field work will include but is not limited to directing the installation of soil borings and groundwater monitoring wells, groundwater/soil sampling, site inspections, and subcontractor oversight. The position may require extensive outdoor work as well as extended overnight travel.  Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

BS degree or equivalent in any of the multi-disciplined environmental sciences, engineering, or geologic sciences required. Four to eight years’ experience in the environmental industry or related environmental consulting experience. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel required.  ArcGIS experience is a plus. Applicant must possess excellent communication (both written and verbal) and organizational skills. Previous experience or education with site investigations, remediation, sampling, and knowledge of TCEQ and/or RRC programs is beneficial. Applicant must also be highly motivated, customer focused, and work well in a team environment. Applicant must be able to drive and pass a motor vehicle records check. A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required. Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
