Tetra Tech is looking for a full-time, Environmental Group Manager. We want an individual with a strong technical background in environmental site investigation as well as experience managing large scale removal operations.
Extensive travel is required and varies based on project requirements.
Tetra Tech will provide travel, per diem, and housing accommodations when on travel, unless staff are local to the site. Full relocation will not be necessary.

Your Role:
We are looking for senior environmental technicians that want to make a difference with their knowledge, organizational skills, and passion in environmental assessment, emergency response, due diligence and remediation.
This position will act as the overall environmental services manager, directly supervising the Environmental Group Supervisor, coordinate with the RPFs and the OSC and the PSC to make sure that the environmental services are properly staffed and supported with field equipment, enough analytical laboratories, and other requirements to ensure efficient and timely environmental services in support of the operation.
Qualifications:
You must have a minimum of seven (7) years of supervising or managing environmental aspects of disaster debris removal Operations, environmental protective mitigation measure implementation, environmental permit bmp installation and/or environmental remediation field programs.
Degree / Certifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a field of science or environmental or similar technical field is required.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER and annual refreshers
• ICS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800 is a plus
• Hazard Classification Training is a plus
• Asbestos Awareness is a plus
• First Aid/CPR is a plus
Work Environment
Work is one hundred percent (100%) field work and supporting field operations from the on-site field office. Most work will be completed in California. Opportunities may exist to work outside of this state on future projects.
Work consists of working 6-7 days a week, including weekends, 10 – 12-hour days and will average 50 – 60 hours per week. You must be available to work this type of schedule.
You must be able to mobilize for a minimum of 3 weeks / 30 days.
You must be able to:
• Travel and work evenings and weekends.
• Work in field environment: long periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; recurring bending or similar activities.
• Lift and carry field sampling and other equipment roughly 35lbs.
• Meet physical demands of hazardous waste site work.
• Work outside in all weather conditions and seasons, both hot and cold.
• Drive on a regular basis. Passing a motor vehicle record background check and maintaining a valid driver's license and good driving record is required.

The Salary Range for this position is $68,640 to $87,360 depending on education, experience, skills, and location.
