What this job involves: We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Professional to join our team, ensuring compliance with JLL and regulatory EHS requirements, collaborating with Operations and Engineering staff on safety protocols, and providing expert guidance on environmental permits and compliance. Key responsibilities include conducting hazard assessments, implementing risk reduction strategies, contributing to EHS performance reporting, inspecting vendor operations, conducting EHS training, acting as a subject matter expert on EHS programs, and supporting incident investigations and emergency response initiatives. This dynamic role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on workplace safety and environmental compliance while working with diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Ensure compliance with JLL and regulatory EHS requirements.Collaborate with Operations and Engineering Staff on Job Hazard Analyses for defined tasks.Assist in reviewing JHAs and Contractor Safe Work Permits as needed.Oversee environmental permits, record keeping, and compliance supervision.Serve as a regulatory resource for EHS management and client EHS manager.Conduct hazard assessments and program evaluations; implement risk reduction strategies.Compile and report EHS performance data for account-wide dashboard.Inspect vendor operations and ensure compliance with Account requirements.Deliver EHS training and act as Subject Matter Expert on EHS programs.Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures for site wide EHS compliance.Lead EHS initiatives for high-risk activities (Confined Space Entry, Electrical Safety, LO/TO, Elevated Work)Support Emergency Response Team program.Assist with incident investigations, including root cause analysis when required.Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:
2-3 years in EHS programs and management systems preferred.A degree or Technician training in occupational safety, safety management or relevant field preferred.Demonstrated experience in the implementation and management of EHS programs and management systems, preferably within facility operations.Required Skills and Experience:
Comprehensive knowledge of EHS regulations and proven track record in regulatory compliance management.Demonstrated success in implementing and managing EHS programs and systems, including high-hazard prevention programs (LO/TO, electrical safety, confined space entry, fall protection).Proficiency in conducting Job Hazard Analyses, risk assessments, and developing Standard Operating Procedures.Experience in environmental permit management, record-keeping, and EHS performance data analysis and reporting.Strong communication, collaboration, and training skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse teams, subcontractors, and vendors.Expertise in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and Emergency Response Team operations.Project management and problem-solving skills, with adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in using EHS management systems and data dashboards.Vendor management experience, including inspection and compliance assurance.Estimated total compensation for this position:
