Job Description

We are seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead our pharmaceutical chemical laboratory and manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for all health and safety activities, including designing, implementing, and conducting safety programs to recognize, eliminate, and control occupational health hazards. The EHS Manager will support the implementation of engineering controls such as evaluating ventilation adequacy, participating in exhaust equipment evaluations, consulting on containment systems, auditing work-area cleanliness, and leading improvements on conditions affecting employee health, comfort, or efficiency. As programs scale into the pilot plant, the EHS Manager will review all processes to recommend measures for maximum employee protection. The EHS Manager will also review waste streams, liaise with Waste Vendors, and ensure proper disposal of manufacturing and laboratory waste.

MUST HAVE5+ years of experience in EHS (pharma, biotech, medical device, cosmetics, food and beverage, or similar industry)Hazardous waste management and Chemical safetyEnvironmental health and safety (EHS) complianceIndustrial hygiene and Environmental reportingRCRA (Resource Conservation and Recovery Act) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulationsBachelors Degree (industrial hygiene, chemical engineering, biology, chemistry or related technical field)
