As the Environmental Health and Safety Manager at our Cary, NC plant, you’ll play a pivotal role in fostering a safe and healthy workplace. In this leadership role, you’ll collaborate closely with employees to establish a proactive safety culture while guiding and developing a team of four associates. With opportunities to lead impactful projects, implement new procedures, and drive meaningful environmental and safety initiatives, you’ll help protect the well-being of our employees and the surrounding community—now and into the future.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
Functional Support – Serve as a subject matter expert and technical resource for our broad safety and environmental compliance needs. Continuously monitoring our chemicals entering the facility, lead sustainability teams to identify key environmental drivers to reduce waste. Process Management – Ensure proper EHS recordkeeping, permitting, and document management. Leadership – Collaborate with your team on developing and delivering effective safety trainings. Knowledge Sharing – Acting as resource for managers, employees, union personnel, and government officials. Contributing your specific expertise to a variety of meetings and projects.
We’re Looking for Someone With
Bachelor’s degree or years of experience in environmental health and safety within a manufacturing industry. Strong Leadership skills and comfortable managing a team in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated knowledge of safety programs and processes. Highly proficient in OSHA guidelines and regulatory agencies, including OSHA 300 logging.
