We are seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Manager based in Indianapolis, IN. The Environmental Health & Safety Manager is responsible for fostering a safe, healthy, and sustainable work environment while mitigating risk, promoting operational excellence, and safeguarding the organization’s most valuable asset—its employees. The company specializes in the production of locks and keys for the automotive, construction, and retail industry.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and track EHS goals and objectives to ensure a healthy, safe workplace and compliance with environmental regulations.Provide performance reports and action plans to management.Support implementation of global EHS systems and standards and develop and communicate site-specific policies and procedures aligned with company directives.Facilitate incident investigations using a team-based approach, identifying root causes and implementing effective, sustainable corrective actions.Oversee EHS Program Management for new processes, products, and equipment, including training for key personnel to ensure compliance and safety.Manage environmental inspections, permits, and required recordkeeping (e.g., wastewater, air emissions, EPCRA, RCRA).Interface with regulatory agencies, ensure reporting accuracy, and provide functional expertise, guidance, and technical support for all EHS topics.Essential Skills5+ years of experience as an EHS Manager within a manufacturing facility Expert level understanding of OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies Experience leading a direct report (or has multi-site observation)Experience Completing Near Miss Reporting; Managing Safety Action Plans and Safety Documentation; Conducting LOTO (lock out tag out); Completing Punch Lists; and Conducting Root-Cause Analysis  Preferred but Not Required - First Aid CertificationPreferred but Not Required - ISO CertificationPreferred but Not Required - Certified Safety Professional Certification (CSP)Work Environment

The manufacturing facility is clean and safe with a mixture of state-of-the-art technology as well as older machines. The facility is 1 million square feet in size. There are 450 hourly employees in the Indianapolis facility, mostly day shift employees, with 30-40 employees on both 2nd and 3rd shifts.

The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $62.50
