The salary range for this role is:

$96,637.77 - $164,218.17

Responsibilities:

The EHS Manager is responsible for leading and role modeling Del Monte Foods’ commitment to providing a safe and healthy workplace for all our employees. As our manufacturing sites continue to grow and adapt, the role of the EHS Manager is crucial to maintaining and enhancing our standards. Our EHS Manager will be responsible for leading, planning, supporting, and coordinating all environmental, health, safety, sustainability, and worker's compensation compliance activities at the production and warehousing facility. This role includes following corporate policies and federal, state, an local regulations. This critical leader will work closely with the Corporate EHS team to advance policies for our

manufacturing site network, ensuring full compliance with all EHS regulations. This leader will manage the onsite EHS resources, recommend changes to improve compliance, and increase employee engagement. Additionally, they will

coordinate regulatory programs and handle permitting applications.

LeadershipProvides strategic functional leadership to the site, acting as the site’s leadership Safety champion.Works closely with key business partners to evaluate, develop and implement programs and processes to minimize potential for employee injuries and vehicle incidents.Develop and lead the EHS Team comprised of two EHS coordinators.Contributes to the Regional EHS team, including people, data, and budgetary responsibilities.Ensures ongoing and full compliance with all applicable safety regulations, workplace safety and inspection programs.Functions as a liaison with governmental inspectors, agencies, and regulators in the event of inspections to correct deficiencies and to minimize citations and fines for non-compliance.Utilizes key metrics to drive performance in EHS at the factory location.Communicates EHS factory results to all levels within the organization.Participates in the annual EHS conference, quarterly webcasts, regional meetings, etc.Develops and manages the EHS department financial budget.Manages and interacts with a diverse group of factory and corporate personnel.Recommends new policies or procedures as necessary.Works closely with other EHS Managers from other facilities.Ensure All Employees Work in a Safe Environment Conduct and coordinate all necessary safety training.Ensure policies are followed and track verifications.Define safety training needs for facility employees.Create and manage specific job role training for employees and managers.Develop programs to promote safe working conditions through employee-led safety activities.Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of safety and security policies.Promote a Culture of Continuous Improvement in Safety Practices Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives.Analyze incident reports, gather feedback, and implement changes.Provide technical advice, coaching, and mentoring to employees.Stay updated on safety through professional development.Organize and maintain required reports and records.Establish an effective network within the company and with external organizations through timely responses, accurate work, and professional behavior.Lead and Develop EHS Programs, Procedures and TrainingDevelop programs, procedures, work instructions, and training.Lead EHS projects, audits, and inspections.Develop and audit all regulated EHS written policies at least yearly or as needed.Coordinate EHS orientations for new hires.Lead and participate in emergency response planning.Conduct weekly inspection of facilities, machinery, and safety equipment.Identify Potential Hazards in the PlantConduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.Develop, create, and/or maintain “Job Hazard Analysis” documentation.Investigate all incidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses to determine root causes, submit detailed reports, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.Conduct safety audits and inspections of facilities, machinery, and equipment to identify and correct hazards.Submit weekly and monthly Safety Reports to EHSS including the following KPIs: TRIR, LTIR, Lag Time.Worker’s CompensationBe informed on incident injury reporting to First aid to ensure proper tracking of claims.Support Supervisors in completing the incident Report.Ensure reports are submitted to Safety and HR.Notify Site Director, Supervisor and Corporate EHSS in the event of an injury or change in status.Support HR in processing claims.Work with HR and the Supervisor to coordinate with Medical Professionals and insurance company for return-to-work evaluations.Support HR in communicating work restrictions to Supervisors by auditing the injured team member.Support HR for modified job duties based on work restrictions. Support HR in ensuring a smooth transition back to work.Collaborate with HR & Legal to gather necessary documentationInform legal for cases regarding an OSHA agency call.EnvironmentalEnsure that Environmental resources monitor laws and regulations, evaluates applicable standards and requirements, and partners with Division teams to formulate the most cost-effective compliance alternative that provides for the protection of the environment, provision for employee safety, and maintenance of appropriate risk management. ·Ensure that Environmental resources maintain compliance with permits, rules, regulations, legislation from local, regional, state and Federal Agencies. ·Support Environmental resources in providing environmental regulatory and technical guidance for:Wastewater and storm water management, permitting and controlsAir emission management, permitting and controlsSolid and hazardous waste managementRecycling § Pollution prevention and resource conservationUnderground storage tanks ·Develop and Maintain Emergency Response PlansDevelop and implement corporate security standards, policies, and practices.Conduct regular drills and ensure all employees are trained on emergency procedures.Lead and participate in emergency response planning.Order and maintain safety inventory, including supplies and equipment.AuditsEnsures compliance with EHS audit, inspection and risk assessment processes.Reviews and analyzes EHS audit results to confirm that corporate, business, and government standards are met.Stay Updated with Local, State, and Federal RegulationsEnsure compliance with all health and safety governmental regulations, including Cal OSHA and DOT.Provide guidance on interpreting and implementing Cal OSHA and related safety regulations.Conduct or coordinate worker training on safety laws, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment.Perform safety audits and inspections of facilities, machinery, and equipment.Ensure vendor and contractor safety programs comply with corporate safety policies while onsite.Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety/IndustrialHygiene/Environmental Science or comparable degree with 5 years of related work experience OR 8 years of Safety program management in a manufacturing environment.Safety Certified Professional certification is preferred.Experience managing/coordinating a behavioral based safety process.Excellent communication skills.Working knowledge of industrial safety.Strong PC-skills relating to spreadsheet, database, and word processing programs.Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills for working with a range of backgrounds and interests.Demonstrated ability to make decisions and be self-directed.Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative within general company guidelines.High degree of collaboration within team.Excellent administrative and organizational skills.Strong organizational skills with good time management.Proficient in all Microsoft Office programsAbility to multi-task and prioritize key projects.
