Title: Environmental & Industrial Hygiene Technician
Location: Russellville, AR
Salary: $65,000 - $82,000
Schedule: 9/80 or 4/10 schedule available
Focus: The Environmental & Industrial Hygiene Technician is responsible for our environmental and industrial hygiene programs that ensure the safety of our employees and contractors along with the protection of the local environment at our Russellville, AR site.
Environmental Technician Essential Job Functions: Responsible for maintaining SPCC and SWPPP programs Conduct, provide data and support environmental audits and assessments Implement EH&S management systems (work processes, standards, procedures) that focus on environmental and/or industrial hygiene Manage air, water, and waste regulatory and permit requirements which includes permit applications for new and modified equipment, requests for permit changes, and permit renewal applications to ensure continuous license to operate Manage data collection and submittal of all permit and regulatory required reports Lead and participate in incident investigations and corrective action process Initiate and support management of change (MOC) for environmental and industrial hygiene matters as needed Lead quarterly leak buster area inspections and address identified issues Obtain clear interpretations of site-specific regulatory processes, regulations, and laws and associated procedures and ensure full sustainable compliance with those requirementsIndustrial Hygiene Technician Essential Functions:
Develop, schedule, and implement annual industrial hygiene monitoring plan for the site Access chemical SDSs to obtain chemical hazard statements/health effect ratings Site ergonomics focal point - become proficient in the ergonomics standard, program requirements, and be able to apply knowledge to support the site Work with Global Industrial Hygienist to evaluate IH lab analysis reports (compare results against occupational exposure limits) Environmental & Industrial Hygiene Minimum Requirements: Must meet one of the following: High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years related work experience; OR Associate's Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related field Knowledge of the following of Title V permit, SPCC regulations, storm water regulations, and plant specific environmental practices is preferred Must be able to digest and disseminate written information and make numerical calculations sufficiently well to perform assigned general and specific duties and responsibilities; Good written and verbal communication skills; creative problem-solving skills, and good attention to detail; Must be able to interface with all levels of employees Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; SAP knowledge is a plus Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred
