Summary:

Tetra Tech’s Ann Arbor office consists of a collaborative, talented, and enthusiastic team. We are seeking a motivated Scientist/Engineer Intern to join our high-performing team to continue providing top-of-the-line client services. 

At Tetra Tech, we provide diverse opportunities for training and advancement while working on interesting projects in multiple market segments. Our Ann Arbor office provides a wide variety of environmental services that include subsurface investigations, soil and groundwater remediation design and implementation, remediation system operation and maintenance, hydrogeological studies, wetland and ecological surveys, environmental compliance support, regulated material surveys, waste management, construction and demolition oversight, due diligence support, and long-term monitoring programs.

Your Role:

This is a paid internship that provides the opportunity to gain experience and knowledge in various aspects of environmental site investigation and remediation field. The position is open to students enrolled in a 4-year degree program in geology, environmental engineering or science, geographic information systems, geography, physical/chemical sciences, biology, and related environmental disciplines from an accredited university, and/or recent graduate of a BS degree or higher. The schedule is on-call and may include full workweeks when work is available. Duties will be primarily office work, with the possibility of field work, including sample and data collection. Office work will require the ability to summarize environmental data for input into technical reports and create accurate data tables, filing and general office administration.

Qualifications

Enrolled in 4-year program in relevant science program or recent graduate of 4-year or higher degree. Must be computer literate and have knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Proficiency in ArcGIS or CAD a plus. Current 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certification is a plus. A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required. Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
