Foth is currently seeking a team-focused, passionate, and results-oriented Environmental Intern who is looking for new learning experiences and opportunities to expand upon their education experience. We will provide a hands-on learning environment in the field and the office. This full-time internship will be based out of our Des Moines, IA office for the Summer of 2025. Explore the Foth internship experience by clicking !Primary ResponsibilitiesUsing prescribed methods, perform specific and limited portions of scientific assignments (May be in the office or in the field)Assist in the collection and analysis of data from sampling, reports, maps, drawings, tests and aerial photographs to evaluate, plan and permit projectsConduct water, soil, and other sampling and plant identification Perform site visits, field observations, and data collection assignmentsPerform field studies of civil development sites for impacts on protected wetlands and US Waterway system Assist in the completion of Waters of the US and Wetlands studies and reports (delineation, mitigation, alternatives analysis, monitoring), Endangered species studies, and US Army Corps of Engineers and Iowa Department of Natural Resources permitting & compliance (401 Water Quality Certification and 404 Permits)Required QualificationsPursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Botany, Environmental Engineering or similar discipline Preferred QualificationsExperience with plant and soils identification as well as assisting with Wetland and Waters of the United States DelineationsAll Foth Companies are equal opportunity employers and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by law.
