Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Intern to join our Wetlands/Due Diligence team in our Minneapolis, MN office. This position is anticipated to start Summer 2025. In this role you work on solar, wind, transmission, residential, and commercial development projects. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients. 

Duties and Responsibilities General project assistance for wetland and wildlife field work, due diligence, report preparation, peer reviews, technical writing, GIS support, and organizational assistance to meet team deadlines. Assistance with permit drafting for large-scale renewable energy projects at the federal, state and local levels (Environmental Impact Statement, Environmental Assessments, Environmental Assessment Worksheets, Conditional Use Permits, and Route Permits, Certificates of PublicConvenience, and Necessity, and more). Report writing and field work associated with SWPPPs, SPCCs, and Decommissioning Plans.  Required Experience Must be pursuing or have a degree in environmental science, environmental policy, public policy, biology, or a related natural sciences field.Must have a passion for the environment and renewable energy.Must be hardworking, dedicated and enjoy working on a team. Preferred Experience Experience with due diligence site work.Experience with wetland delineations.Experience with wildlife.Familiar with GIS.Experience using Google Earth and KMZ files.Technically proficient in report writing.
