Environmental Manager - Infrastructure
You are an experienced Environmental Manager, who will have direct responsibility for leading a team of professionals to deliver the environmental program on our project sites. You will ensure the establishment and maintenance of the Environmental Management Plans, auditing and reporting on the performance of the Environmental Plans, the CEMP Framework, and any terms and conditions associated with environmental permits. You are a problem solver and continuously look for innovative solutions that can be utilized on projects.

Essential Responsibilities:

Directing all aspects of Ledcor's environmental program for the Project Work, including overseeing the environmental auditing programEnsuring environmental issues and requirements are met in accordance with the agreementEstablishing and maintaining working relationships with relevant Environmental Authorities and Interested PartiesTaking a lead role in internal environmental design reviews including development of mitigation and compensation proposals, acceptable to the Province and Environmental AuthoritiesLiaising with the Client's Representative and acting as the single point representative for Ledcor on all matters relating to environmental managementImplementing the Construction Environmental Management Plan and monitoring and verifying Ledcor’s compliance with the requirements of such planImplementing environmental quality management systems and procedures in collaboration with the Quality Manager responsible for the Environmental Quality Management PlanPreparing and submitting to the Client's Representative all plans, reports and documents required under the CEMP FrameworkDeveloping, managing and implementing plans and practices to address project environmental requirementsWorking with Indigenous Groups in relation to environmental protection and archaeological preservation

Qualifications

10 or more years of demonstrated experience in a senior management position on major projects such as light rail transit construction in urban and undeveloped areasAn appropriately Qualified Professional (Qualified Environmental Professional per the Provincial Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy)10+ years of combined education and experience in the delivery/management of an environmental compliance programDemonstrated experience submitting applications and operating under relevant federal and provincial permitsBackground in developing, monitoring and auditing environmental practices and performanceKnowledge of relevant environmental and waste legislation, standards, and effective industry practicesKnowledge of construction site erosion and sedimentation controls and BMP’sEffective communication, conflict resolution and organization skillsMust possess effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to coordinate the efforts of others to accomplish objectivesStrong analytical, problem-solving and decision making abilities

Work Conditions

Field responsibilities throughout the year in varying weather and site conditionsAvailability to work occasional evenings or weekendsMust reside in the Vancouver Area or willing to relocate

Compensation

$91,200 - $125,400 Annually

This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
