Job Description
We are seeking motivated individuals to join our Environmental Monitoring Team at a global bio-pharmaceutical company specializing in generic sterile injectable manufacturing. The team is responsible for viable and non-viable monitoring of the manufacturing areas, including air, water, and surface sampling. Samples will be logged in a proprietary LIMS, and cGMP documentation practices will be adhered to. Analysts will also process water, product, and commodity samples and perform bioburden testing.
ResponsibilitiesPerform viable and non-viable monitoring of manufacturing areas, including air, water, and surface sampling.Log samples in a proprietary LIMS and adhere to cGMP documentation practices.Process water, product, and commodity samples and perform bioburden testing.Sample the entire facility and assist supervisors in training and integrating new hires.Act as an interim lead for the supervisor as needed.Participate in process improvement initiatives when requested.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related life science field with 1+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience in environmental monitoring.Associates degree or HS diploma with 3-4 years of environmental monitoring experience in the pharmaceutical industry.Experience gowning and sampling in an aseptic manufacturing environment.Proficiency in LIMS and MODA.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in pharmaceutical lab setup, cGMP manufacturing, clean room practices, aseptic lab processing, and bioburden testing.Strong leadership skills and the ability to develop into a trainer or supervisor role.Work Environment
This role operates in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, with 80% of the time spent in manufacturing areas sampling and about 20% in the lab. The schedule includes day shift (7am-7pm) and night shift (7pm-7am) on a 2,2,3 rotating basis. Gowning is required, and candidates must be comfortable with tight spaces, no makeup, fake nails, or jewelry when sampling. The EM team comprises 45-50 people, split across day and night shifts, with a team structure of 5-8 analysts per supervisor.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
